In palm oil industry, there are three main players: Palm Tree Plantation, Palm Oil Mill and Palm Oil refinery. PT Swakarsa Sinarsentosa (SWA) is a privately-owned company integrating the first two in one integrated coporation, producing Crude Palm Oil (CPO) and Palm Kernel (PK).
SWA initially entered the business as a planter, possessing a 16,500 ha that was fully planted successfully in 2004. Located in Muara Wahau Village, East Kutai regency, East Kalimantan Province, our plantation stands on one of the most fertile soils in Kalimantan with moderate all-year-long precipitation that sufficiently weathered the palm to grow to its fullest potential.
In 2002, we moved downstream by having our first Palm Oil Mill and we expanded to the second mill in 2006. With these mills, we currently have enough capacity to process our own internal palm yields. Having Plantations and Palm Oil Mills as an integrated operation in one compacted area gives the company its advantage compared to other similar companies.
Anticipating further business expansion, our group has already acquired addtional 21,000 ha of land reserve in adjancent area, ready for plam plantation. Owning acombination of this land bank makes us one of the prominent players in the industry.
